In 1775 after the American Revotuion, war broke out between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the United States. Battles broke out in Eastern America and most Native Americans east of the Missisippi were affected by the war. Even though some Native American tribes were on friendly terms with the United States, most tribes considered indipendence United State a threat to their terretory and fought with the British. At the British side there were approximately 13,000 Native Americans who both helped the British in many sieges and attacks towns. Some tribes also fought with the United States. Many Tuscarora and Oneida sided with the United States, but theire force was much weaker than the force of the British sided Indians.​​
